If you've ever been to a live rock concert then you know the chest pounding bass doesn't sound anything like bean farts under water. Unfortunately a lot of car audio woofers do sound that way.

FEATURES

Designed to work in smaller sealed or ported boxes with decent in car response around 45Hz, these woofers have none of the boom or sloppy low bass so commonly associated with car audio designs.

At 97dB with 1 watt and a power capacity of 400 watts RMS with 1000 watt peaks, these would be the natural choice for SPL applications.

Use these if you want TIGHT dry bass with no boom or overshoot. Ideal for all types of music, especially rap where the speed of this woofer will de-homogonize the bass allowing you to hear what each note actually is.

Works in Sealed or Ported Box sizes
between .75 and 3.0 cubic feet.

We recommend a 1.0 cubic foot sealed and stuffed air tight enclosure for each woofer.

Dear Enthusiast,

Currently everyone is gaga over high excursion high power handling... Problem is MOST car audio woofers are around 85 dB sensitivity. That means they will create an SPL of 85dB with one watt of power. Since you have to double your power every time you want a 3dB increase in SPL, it doesn't take long for these high power drivers to be at their thermal limit. For example there is a 10 inch woofer made by MT? that handles 400 watts RMS and is 84.5 dB efficient. That means at 400 watts the SPL is at around 110 dB. This of course assumes you have the money for a good 400 watt amplifier to run it.

Our DHMPRO will hit the same 110 dB with 20 watts. And at it's thermal limit of 400 watts RMS it is doing 122 dB. (Enclosure type and cabin gain adds considerable SPL to the above figures, in some cases as much as 40dB)

If all this is new to you, I recommend reading part of car audio book "Secrets of Car Audio" - it may save you from making costly and all too common mistakes.
