Decware wanted to split their original forums up into two main categories: 1) Decware Support Forums which will remain on the Decware.com web site and 2) General Audio forums that have been moved to - audiophiletalk.com

We’ve always felt that Decware’s General audio forums were of the best quality on the internet as I’m sure many of you would agree. Problem is, they just aren’t reaching enough people. Believe it or not, many potential new posters just don’t want to get involved in a General audiophile forum when it is hosted on a manufacturers web site.

The forums that truly belong on a manufactures web site are it’s own product support forums. So in that spirit Decware has moved all non product support forums to audiophiletalk.com

Audiophiletalk.com is not a manufacture specific forum. If you are new here you will no doubt read 100’s of posts talking about Decware products and dozens of posts from Decware announcing new products. From now on, all Decware new product announcements and support will remain on the Decware web site. Eventually all the posts falling into that category that are found here will fade away into the archives and perhaps then people will feel less inhibited about joining and talking audio.

We want audiophiletalk.com to be more manufacture independent where audiophiles can share their thoughts about gear regardless of brand without feeling like they are stepping on someones toes.

Bottom line is this: Decware, other than being a sponsor of this forum has no official ties to audiophiletalk.com.

Why would Decware donate it’s audio forums to jump start audiophiletalk.com? Actually there are many reasons some of which follow: A) It reduces bandwidth demands on the decware website and that will improve their quality of service. B) It liberates these forums and allows them to grow with no limits. C) While Decware obviously benefited from lots of advertising in it’s general audio forums, it will benefit more from being a sponsor of these forums - especially once they begin to grow, even if Decware were never mentioned here again.

These forums are free and available to the public, however they are professionally moderated.

Advertising from manufactures in these forum threads will be discouraged and carefully monitored. If a manufacturer wishes to advertise their products here they can contact the administration about becoming a sponsor.

We want audiophiletalk to remain a spam free, non-polluted, non-political zone for the free exchange of information and insights about the great hobby of hi-fi. Please help by passing the word around.
