Ok, when you bridge a 2 channel amp, does it change the impedance at all? Example, one sub, bridged to 2 channels. I know this is basic, but I really can't remember. Thanks. |

Posted At 14:13:41 08/07/2000 yep, that's right... example: if you use a 4 ohm sub across the bridged output of the amp, you'll generally get 4 times the wattage of just one channel... this is because you're combining the output of the two channels (twice the power) and putting the whole circuit in parallel (twice the power again.) The circuit will give more power because it's seeing a 2 ohm load instead of a 4 ohm. JB |
