could someone point me in te right direction with building dbs? im getting a car in 2 months and i dont have a clue on how freq. and boxes are setup... is there any online texts or some kind of info tutorial you could hook me up with? |

Posted At 14:08:49 04/23/2001 Well if you're building a DB, you can tune it to sound how you want. It's pretty easy actually. Once you have the main pieces made, the insert part will slide within the outer box. Where you position the insert will determine how it sounds. The closer to the port end the insert is, the lower (frequencies) the box is tuned. All you do is play music at low levels, and see how the box sounds at different tuning positions. Once you know where you want the insert placed for the desired sound, you screw/glue/seal the insert in place. If you purchase the plans for the DB, it explains how to do all that as well. |

Posted At 09:59:49 04/24/2001 if you goto the main page on this site they have thier number you can call them for the password.. that is the easiest way to do it.. get the $20 package.. it is well worth it... it gives you all the plans and access to the rest of the book |
