I'd like to find a very compact 10" sub box for use
with live bass guitar. I'd like to be able to get solid
32Hz to 140Hz - it will be biamped with at least 300w.

How does the DB do with Eminence Delta or Kappa PRO 10
musical/proELF speakers, or McCauley 6222/6224 or RCF ?

(I can't use foam surrounds. Live bass guitars KILL
these speaker suspensions).

Will I be able to control woofer excursion so that
huge dynamics (like string slaps) don't smash the drivers ?

Would the 10" HW or the DB in 12" be better suited ?

Don't use a bandpass box (like the DB) if you want 32-140 Hz. Bandpass have a narrow range of frequencies that they can reproduce well.

A regular ported box should do fine. If you don't mind the size of the HW, go for that.

Actually, my '140Hz' is wrong. 100Hz would do.
The other (main) cabinet is OK to approx 90 Hz.

I've worked out (software model only) one great 6th
order BP cab for the Eminence Delta 10, and one great
vented cab for the Delta 12LF, but the DB looks like it's
exactly what I wanted too.

Since it'd be used in banquet room size places, I didn't
know how the 'cabin loading' might affect it's use, as
well as the Xmax/Xsmash question.

Hello Gang!

I just read the post above and DB stated that the HW is a ported box. But that is wrong. I have been in this industry for years and have made all kinds of inventions to help the industry out. The HW is in fact a bandpass enclousure. It is a 6th order bandpass at that. I have patents on all the equations for that enclousure. So, DB just gave you the "run-around." But he is right that a ported box will work well. If you are interested John, I am in the process of making a "super woofer" that will be real cheap. I am incoporating aqua-acoustic technology into the "super woofer" as well. It is for concert halls, but you don't need to add the water. It comes "pre-filled." E-mail me and I will get you a qoute on my "super woofer." I will send you everything you need to "pump up the volume" or perhaps make people "get funky."

I will tell you another secret too. I like to get these little crackers and spread cheese on them. Then I eat them! What a concept it is, I am just a mastermind of all trades.

Hey asshole Patel - I never said the HW was a ported box. Learn to read English moron. I said regular ported would work fine, then in the next sentence I said if he didn't mind the size of the HW he could use that. 2 separate sentences, get it? Don't put words in my mouth the way you put cocks in your mouth Patel.
