I was wondering if the deathbox dimensions were the critical limitations or if you maintain the internal dimensions, could you still get good performance? By, let say, making the box narrower in width but longer in depth? Thanks Rick |

Posted At 18:40:45 06/20/2001 I'm not sure anyone has actually tried it, but there would not be much advantage to it. If you look at the insert, and the location that the sub is mounted, you'll see there is almost no room to narrow the box. Once you get the sub mounted on the insert, there is very little clearance between the edge of the sub and the sides of the box. Plus once you add a good bead of silicone to seal the edges, you basically have no room at all (maybe 1/4 or 1/2 inch at most). |

Posted At 17:10:35 06/21/2001 Thanks for the input. I was trying to fit a box into a specific space and was hoping to get by with volume vs design dimensions. I might try a prototype using regular particle board. I'll let you know if it turns out. Thanks, Rick |
