Question for Steve and/or Zygi...

Is it advisable to apply felt to the phase plug like it was on the previous FE206EM driver?

Logic tells me one should apply it if and only after breakin things still sound bright for one's tastes (and mated components). But I wanted to check with the guru's :)

I couldn't give any advise on the felt tweek, I haven't heard the DFR8's myself. I have some on the way though.

I tried, long before the felt tweek, two "O" rings around each phase plug with pretty good success. You can slide them back and forth for near field or far field and can remove them in seconds. It seemed to be an improvement to my liking, but the felt was better.

I would think, if the felt made any improvemnt on the DFR8's Steve would have included it.

I guess its just, season to taste.
