Title: Help needed for testing 6p15p-ev tubes
Post by HABZ-FAN on 03/06/10 at 14:47:30

I've received my 10 pack of these tubes from Moscow, did the CCE mod , and we all know the results.
I can't test these tubes properly, I have a Stark 9-66 tester which a Hicock licensed tester that is close to the Hicock 750. I tested a pair as if they were an el84 , this yeilded around the 2000 micromos ,an el84 should be around 3000, repeated the test using 7189 settings ,similar result .
Anybody been able to come up with settings that would yeild a proper test result ? I've googled this and don't seem to come up with an answer ,other guys have asked this, but , no definitive answers came back . Appreciate any input on this , thanks Dan

You have to post over on Antique Radio Forums under Test Equipment Discussion. That is where I got the dope on testing the 6N1P-EV tube. The folks there will come up with a tube that is electrically equivalent to the Rusky valve and you will be able to starkly test it.
