Title: jj output too detailed
Post by vmax on 10/10/12 at 21:52:27

I have a certain condition with one of the 4 jj el34 tubes, it's simply outperforming the other 3  (10 mv higher output on the channel it's connected too when the volume is at ~250 mv at the speaker output term's.), if I could get the other 3 to that level would be nice.  guess I'll have to get some more tubes that match up abit better....

Hopefully they weren't supplied as a "matched" quad (?)

it's the tubes that came with the torrii amp purchase.....

You should have a warranty on them for a spell at least. I'd give Sarah a call .   .

A runaway JJ or any tube for that matter is possible. Try replacing the one hot one and you will be fine.

the advice is appreciated, sounds like a serious problem to have a tube that's not running right.....
