Title: Re: CAPS JPLAY OrigenAE M10 PPA Studio USB card and ca Post by C5smithjack on 10/22/13 at 16:21:42 i am interested. i have jriver mc19 and jplay but using with a regular hp pc with an amd quad core bought at best buy for around $600 in 2012. it has 8 gig ram and nothing real special. I bought an Apple 2013 i7 mac mini but I like jplay so i haven't even bothered with the apple yet. Was gonna maybe try pure music or amarra at some point. I know about a bit about computers but not a wiz or anything. is this plug and play. is it a windows 7 or 8? I have a Ayre QB-9 which was a HUGE upgrade from the W4S DAC2 I just sold. I saw you DAC in the pics and the best deal I found on one that I thought was a great deal was $2800 which was a good deal but it was still out of my range. I bought my QB-9 for $1,250.00 and pretty happy with it but I need to upgrade it to 194 as it is a 96 only but still way way better than the W4S. Thanks

This is a Windows machine based on Windows 2012 Core Server what folks are using as a stripped down top-of-the-line modern MS audio client, namely with JPLAY. I have a free license for JPLAY which can be registered int he buyers name. JPLAY also has some features itself and you can use Direct Streaming mode to send audio over ethernet or wifi direct to this machine. You can also use J. river on this and just connect it to your existing library via JRMC's awesome library server. The PPA Studio USB card in this machine is reported to better the SOtM USB card and it has a super low jitter clock that will help any DAC. It's plug and play and I can help configure JPLAY to do Direct Streaming mode. cheers! Jon
