Title: For Sale: Pristine Zen Taboo MK III
Post by MoNelly on 08/04/14 at 21:09:51

Breaks my heart to sell this fine-sounding amp, but I need the funds. Sounds fantastic with planar headphones (I owned Audeze LCD-2s) and it also sounds incredible with speakers (mine are Blumenstein Orcas).

I am the first owner and the amp has been babied and is just dead quite. Unit is serial number 111; manufactured in April 2013. All stock parts with dual 4-pin XLR jacks; stock tubes included.

Asking $1,350 (we can discuss paypal and shipping costs). I need the cash, but I'm not desperate--so please no lowballing nonsense.

ConUSA only. Thanks for looking; let me know if you have any questions.

Tom

How does the taboo sound with the orcas? I'm thinking of the same setup and may be interested in taking the taboo off your hands.

Do you have the dungeness subwoofer too or run the taboo with just the orcas? What kind of music do you run through the amp and speakers? Can that setup handle modern noisy rock as well as acoustic stuff? Not looking for really loud, just loud enough to envelop when doing near field, sitting up to 9 feet away.

Thanks for the info.

I run a Yamaha sub with the Orcas. I lived without a sub for months, but eventually decided I wanted a bit more low end grunt. I listen to pretty much everything in my nearfield desktop setup, and the Taboo has never run out of gas or seemed congested. Like all Decware amps, the sound is positively holographic and it really makes the Blumensteins sing.

Still for sale? I can probably take that beauty off your hands for you.
