MG944 speakers for sale. Cherry/black finish in perfect shape minus one little spot on the black base from a vaccum, I am guessing. I have original boxes but prefer not to ship. Will meet buyer within 200 miles from central IL. Asking $1000.

At this point I'm not. The latest version of the DirectStream firmware has made some changes that give more *apparent* density and volume - and I'm stupid-broke right now. So I'll have to wait till sometime next year. Maybe for my birthday next year November - I could have Steve whip something custom up for me. :)

Good luck on your sale man - I'd be happy to be a (positive) reference on both you and the speakers if you need it!

Glad that the new firmware has assuaged your preamp pondering Eric. You should be set. I don't feel I need a preamp with mine; I should have mine back soon, I was told Friday it was repaired, no shipping notice yet.

Man, if I didn't already have a pair, I'd be all over these! Fantastic price!

Edit to add: I'm going to post this on my Facebook - I think Non-Decware forum members can still see the Decware Classifieds. Someone has to be looking for a great deal on killer speakers.

I was the original owner of these and can say that they sounded great and were never overpowered when I had them (6 watt Racael amp). They would be a great buy for someone. Good luck on the sale.
