Serial numbers 62 & 63 built in August of 2002.
Very low hours. Used in country house system. Have been in storage since 2007. Amplifiers were just tested and are in perfect working order. Cosmetically look very close to new.
Full tube compliment including: Six Svetlana SV83 tubes in original box. Pair of matching JJ 6922 cryo treated by Pearl Cryo-Valve in original box. Pair of Sylvania 5U4G rectifiers in plain box. Will also include pair of Ruby 5U4G rectifiers in plain box.

These amplifiers were modified in 2004.Modifications include:
1) Signal input wire replaced with 99.995 solid silver insulated inside Teflon tubing for electrical isolation and cotton braid for dampening
2) Power supply wire is mil-spec, silver plated OFC with Teflon insulation
3) filter capacitors changed Elna ALA Cerfaine
4) Coupling capacitors VH Audio V-Cap TFTF
5) Input capacitor Solen Fast Cap
6) grid stop resistors are Audio Note tantalum film
7) preamp tube plate load resistors Kiwame siliconized carbon
8) Cathode resistors were shelf grade metal film and replaced with carbon composition

I had a pair of these quite awhile back. So sorry to have sold them. They are beautiful and sound the same.

The audiogon listing are the same amps lin. They are listed for sale on this site as well as audiogon.

Wow, that was fast. I am curious how they sound...I have the 2008 version with updates... SE84ZSM. Love them and makes me wonder about the UFO and 25th Anniversary mod versions...

Hope who ever bought them will chime in... Maybe give their impressions. Mark.

PS.... did they sell to a member here or via the Audiogon site?

They sold on the audiogon site Mark. Multiple bids in a few hours. Given the price --performance ratio as well as the well earned reputation of Steve I am not particularly surprised.

I bought them. Can’t wait to hear them with my ML CLX’s. Now I need a preamp to go with them, any suggestions. My headend is a McIntosh MVP.

Yeah, I noticed those didn't have a gain knob as my SE84SZMs do. Your's also use three power tubes per channel...mine uses one. Anyway, I use a CSP3 with mine but for years used no preamp. You could use a Z Stage, CSP3 or older model or a ZTpre but given you only spent $1100 on the Monoblocks, you may not want to spend more on the preamp. And those are only the Decware options. Let us know how they sound once you're up and running. Mark.

I don't think so. I think you need a way to adjust gain. The Zbox is a Buffer Stage. But you could read the section on the Zbox or call Steve. Someone who knows will chime in I'm sure.
