I have for sale one of the first Torii Mk II ever built, made for Bob Ziegler (Ziggy) and I am the second owner.

Bob made a beautiful cocobolo wood base for this amp that truly is one of a kind. Before it was sent to me Steve both installed the "Christmas Comes Early" (Hazen Grid) mod and installed a pair of the Treble Cut Circuit Controls.

This is a very interesting sounding amp with a bit more "romance" to the sound imo than the Torii Mk III amps that I also have used. It has 25 watts per channel output and with tube rolling can be tailored to match your system and tastes.

I will ship with appropriate tubes including NOS rectifier and regulator tubes and brand new EL34 tubes and a new stock power cord.

There are a few scuffs to the finish which I have pictured below.

Nice Lon! Are those tube sockets in the back for Regulators? If so, do they work like a MKIII and MKIV, where OA3, OB3, OC3 can be used for different intensity and space.

The Mk II has half the regulation that the Mk III has. There are OC2 tubes for the inputs, but no OA3 etc. for the output tubes. This uses the 5Y3/5U4 rectifier family as the Mk III does.

With just one stage of regulation there's a little more . . . I think of it as "romance," a less modern Decware sound, a bit more warmth or lack of finest detail perhaps. Though as with all the amps a lot depends on tube complements, cabling, isolation etc.

Interesting on the regulators. That is for sure for my setup too on cabling, tubes, isolation. Sounds and looks like a nice amp. Having a Blue, MKIII, and MKIV, I am a little Torii heavy now, though tempted! Good Luck!

Thanks, yeah, it's a special amp and I've let it be unused too long and it's time for it to be used and enjoyed. I've got so much equipment and I'm finally thinning the herd.

Just a note to add that I priced this to include my absorbing pay pal fees; if anyone wants to pay with a personal check I can reduce the price. And I'm reducing the price to 1500. Will include several pairs of rectifiers and input tubes.

Well, I've changed my mind. . . this amp is not for sale. My wife says "It's too pretty to sell," so I am keeping it to use in my second system and making another plan. Thanks for the interest from those who wrote to me!
