Good morning. Serious buyer for the above listed amps immediately. Cannot order and wait due to cardiac issue…don’t ask! In the Boston area, cash in hand, no games.
Thanks

Urgency?

This is a red flag for a scam.

It was an unusual post, but it never crossed my mind that it might be a scam.  If not, maybe we will hear back.  In any event, thanks, guys, for the heads up.

FWIW OP has been a member since 2018. Maybe his plan was to lay low for 5 years, and then try to scam the board but that seems unlikely to me. Caveat venditor in any case. JMO.

Sometimes it is hard to tell if a want to buy Post is a scam. I’m not saying that this one is but the urgency is a red flag. You would anticipate that somebody who wanted certain gear would introduce himself briefly and indicate what his goals are, why he is looking for this gear, etc.

Really? Where is that written? It isn't the common practice in 99% of the ads here.

Please don't falsely accuse people.

He clearly stated he doesn't want to wait the 3+ years in line, that's his goal, and it is perfectly understandable.

While it is easy to scam someone when pretending to sell a product, it is much more difficult to do so when attempting to purchase one, since the buyer pays first before the seller relinquishes possession of the item.

I agree with your points Ghostship. I can understand the immediacy if one is battling health issues--and not wanting or needing to spell that out further. With one's health in question even a year's wait seems unthinkable.

Good morning...NO this is not a scam, if you are all really interested here's the scoop. I live in the Boston area, south of the city on the ocean...it's perfect.

My current set up is a pair of Rogue M-180 Monoblocks and a Rogue RP-! Pre running into a pair of Forte III's and looking to purchase a pair of SE84ufo's ideally or the 25 year amp.

In November I put my name on the list for a build, left my 10% deposit and so forth, then immediately after I was diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure, very low Ejection Fraction. Sadly I do not have time to wait for an amp....so all you "Conspiracy Theorists" can either sell me an amp or ......I don't know, smarten up maybe??

'With one's health in question even a year's wait seems unthinkable.' I can ~completely~ understand where he is at on his request. Hope he gets a reply from someone who has an extra or just wants to sell. And...all the best to him too

Hello Eag618 - I may have something for you... I'm running (2) SE84CKC(s) as mono-blocks. I'm the second owner and I've got to check the year 2013 ~ 2015. They've got the 20th anniversary sticker on them - not branded as UFO (I think it's the same transformer - someone correct me). I have a few extra rectifiers. I'm a little hesitant selling... because every time I listen to them - I decide to keep them - they're awesome and have more weight as mono-blocks than as singular (go figure). Not sure how to PM... but we can talk price and shipping.

This is the ticket. I ran two SE84UFOs in mono block for a short time. They were very good performers. I don't think it matters UFO or non-UFO. As the CKC designation was pre-UFO. UFO UFSchmo. I am sure that these will fulfill what you are looking for.

I had a Select like that for years! Interesting that the seller is looking for almost the full new price! That shows how in demand Decware is. . . the seller is likely to get the price.
