Onboard electronics are very very nice, but there's now also the option of an external tape preamp right off the heads.It's been totally gone through. Recapped, calibrated, and ready for my remaining tape days probably. :-/

Is anyone else using or contemplating using an outboard tape pre? If so I'd like to hear the thoughts, and or mentions of brands or designs. I do not currently know anyone using one that I could try so I am wondering.
