Title: Pets and music
Post by dank on 09/30/24 at 16:05:06

I know cats are drawn to music, and seem to disappear when the music is bad, but dogs?

Ever since I set up a system in the house, my dog has found "the spot".  Whenever I can't find him, and music is on, he is usually in his spot.  The system is primarily to burn in amps I have built, and he (the dog) definitely has his favorite...Which just happens to be the biggest, best, and most expensive amp I build.

Interesting. Out cat Nicholas is big fan of Beethoven.

My cats likes to lay between the speakers when I play music.

Sometimes they play together. It is so cute!

Things get out of control with them sometimes.  But cats will be cats!

Mine loves listening. Every morning when I get up she comes running to the room for our listening session.

My dog has done this more than once. In this pic, we were listening to ELO at volume.

When we first started dating, my wife had a rabbit who loved Faith No More. She would hop over to one of the speakers and stretch out in front of it. She did that more than once. She didn't have the same reaction to any of the other music I played.

Donnie,

You better not let Mike Tyson know that you stole his tiger!!!

I was thinking Siegfried and Roy, but Tyson works too.

The tabby cat in full attack makes me laugh.

A guy who I worked with does real good Photoshop work.

It is nice to be able to send a photo in a text to him of my listening room and have something like that come back in 10 minutes!

I don't even have a pet at all. My wife hates animals. There is something wrong with her.

R.I.P.  He was my favorite!  Lost him this Spring.

Condolences, Steve. Losing a pet is a terrible thing to live through. It's worth it, though, to have them in your life, and to be in theirs.

Sorry to hear that Steve. He was a good listening partner. In the wee hours of Saturday at Decrest 2022 he jumped up in my lap and listened to some Dead Can Dance with me. His ears seemed to be very attentive as shown in the video. He stayed with me a good while that night. Condolences.

My condolences Steve-I remember him too from the previous two fests.
