Title: Sarah height?
Post by WBStyles on 11/30/24 at 13:56:47

Hello everyone,

I’m excited to say there’s a light at the end of the tunnel: my Sarah looks like it’ll arrive mid 2025. I’m putting together the space for it and wondering if anyone who currently has the Sarah would be willing to measure the height with tubes? The height listed on the site at 9 3/4” but not sure if that includes tubes.

Thank you!

Will

A (standard) 300B tube is just under 6" tall, so that makes the chassis 3 3/4" which sounds right.

That’s helpful, thank you!

I’m trying to plan out the space for mine, too, and could use some help. Could anyone with a Sarah share the height measurement, including the tubes? The website lists 9 3/4” but doesn’t clarify if that’s with or without tubes. Crazy Cattle 3D

I just did a quick measure, and mine will came in at 9.5". My current 300b tube are Linlai, and they appear a little shorter than the WE 300b tubes.  My guess is that 9 3/4 " is a good estimate.

I've measured as well. 9-3/4 or 10 inches depending on whether you are using the stock feet or other footers.

I'd say go with at least 12 inches.
That will give you clearance for tube rolling and give it room to breathe.

Donnie makes a good point, more than some of the other tubes, I like to roll the 300b.

Unless you use a remote power switch for your whole system I’d go at least 16 inches or consider putting it on the top shelf. She gives off some heat and you’re reaching over three big hot pieces of glass and an iron transformer to find the power switch nestled in the back.

Or, if space permits:
