I had made a fullsize WO32, from pics and whatnot that I could find, and was not happy with the SPL (or lack of) that I was getting from it.
As Gex said, I have modded a WO but not in the way that most think. I didn't actually "port" it. I have 2 Kenwood KFCW2525DVC's and a Boss RIP-995 2000x4 amp(all in my car). Here's what I did:
The standard WO is 36x36, correct? I clipped it down to 24x24, still keeping the 12" tall pieces inside. My throat was taken down from 2x12 to 1x12. If your looking into the mouth of the enclosure, you see the two walls that should be 12.5x12 facing each other, making the mouth. That is where I put my speakers.
No one believes I only have 2 10's until I drop the seat. Then they're convinced I have a 15 or two hidden somewhere. Where do I hide a 15 in an Escort? It's unbelievably LOUD, accurate, and crisp. My speakers are also designed more for a sealed enclosure than ported.
I've got another one, sized up a little, for 2 12's. It's in its finishing stages right now, getting carpeted, and prettied up. I'll let you all know how it sounds, and get pics up when it's complete.
The WO is waaaayyy better for SPL than WO32.
EDIT: I'd really appreciate it, if my modded WO design does not get into the mainstream car audio scene, if you can at all help it.
