Just took my whole system apart and moved it four feet to gain spousal approval, moving a maple table that was used as a TV stand and adding my smaller Mapleshade Audio Samson rack from storage instead, next to the Version 3. Nice change sound wise. . . we'll see if it was worth the herculean effort I (about a four hour job, taking my time) put in and makes Lucy happy! (She's out of town the last few days, and I've been sick since Wednesday).

Made me realize how much I've learned about system setup in the last decade and what a great system I have to enjoy. Hopefully now I can leave my speakers where they are and not have to move them out into the room every time I want to listen . . . we'll see.

I put this one back in as I had been listening to it a lot lately and would notice changes in sound. . . .

This SACD sounds phenomenal. It's so amazing to hear it today on my system as this LP was what started my jazz journey when I borrowed it from the Burton Public Library probably in fall '72. I went from here to Miles Davis at Fillmore and then Bitches Brew and In A Silent Way and then into fusion, and then I followed Miles' sidemen and his idols (Pops, Duke, Bird) into mainstream jazz, swing and bebop. A fascinating journey.

I think it was "Madamoiselle Mabry" that grabbed me first. Even then I knew it was based on "The Wind Cries Mary," I was a Hendrix nut before this.
