Listening to this one again and realizing what a well-recorded release it is. The horns especially are excellently presented, and the several tracks where the soloists feature Bubber Miley and Tricky Sam Nanton sounds and textures against interesting string backings sure are arrangements that make me think.

There's a touch of distortion on the drums at times but otherwise a very meaty and clear sound quality.
