I have been burning in a NOS Pair of 1963 Russian 6N1P-E E88CC BLACK BOXED ANODE Triple MICA tubes in the CSP3. I have had a 1960 pair of these in the main system's CSP3 for years and had forgotten the need for burn in. At first the low end was lacking and something was a bit off, but now after about 9 hours they are filling out and sounding good. I expect more improvement in the days/weeks to come...

I also popped in a 1964 Valvo (Holland Amperex) 6922 in the CSP3 input position a few days ago.

Yes Lon, lately I have been more actively rolling in the second system. Except for the Output tubes in the Monoblocks, all tubes in the Monoblocks, ZP3 and CSP3 are different than a month ago. I bought three new tubes this morning, one of which is a RCA 5Y3G for the ZP3, the other two are spare 1961 American made Amperex 6922s...

No I haven't. Unless the pair of unmarked 7308s I bought a few years ago are Siemens, which it is possible they may be. I've only so far tried those, Amperex (unbeatable so far), Sylvania (really good in the Taboo Mk III, REALLY good there, if not quite giving me enough bass in the Torii), and a pair that are Mazda marked "Made in England" which are quite good really, if a bit too "hifi" for me so far (I don't have a lot of hours on them).*

Have to stop buying input tubes for a while, next purchase tube wise for me will be a quad of cryo'd KT66 soon, will decided whether to go reissue Genalax Gold Lion again or another quad of these excellent TAD).

* Ooops just realized that the Mazda are not 7308s but PCC189, a very 7308-like tube.
