Listening to this same disc again to gauge the progress of the Mazda input tubes. . . they have about 12 more hours on them. They have opened up some but they are still a bit more romantic and warm than the Amperex I took out. . . . I am able to adjust the tone controls (treble a bit up and bass a bit down) and get a very good, "LP like" sound on Redbook; Hi-res sounds very good.

I have the same recordings on LP and the LPs sound better, but I'm listening on headphones and don't have the ZP3 connected to the Taboo Mk III. Beautiful music.

I can feel the "saudade" in the performances that thinking back to home might bring, or I imagine I do.

Timeless music and the current tube complement gives me both the separation between instruments and sections I'm mostly used to hearing on the stereo LP, and a lush mellow tonality. I'm happy.
