Do you have the same? I don't hear it with the Phil Woods or Joni CDs. If you don't hear it I'll try switching out my Power tubes in the Mono Blocks.

I don't hear any distortion from my listening seat. Such a nice cd set. I would try swapping the inputs and see if you still hear it. . . .

Kid, the first LP sounds very good. Analogue Productions does a great job with reissues. $600 seems like a lot until you look at what the individual 180 gm reissues have gone for at auction. This 200 gm set won't last long. I'm sure the resellers have looked at the history of the prior 180 gm set and individual LP reissues and are Hoarding them for resale. Mark.

JD, I was surprised how heavy it was...22, 200 gm LPs weigh a lot. I had a back order for the 180 gm set in at Elusive Disc with a 10% discount for years, so when this came out they offered me the same price...about $540 and shipped it as soon as they had it. I'm tempted to buy another as Back Up :)

I'm not sure if you're a Monk Fan but the above set is very good. We'll see but I may have to buy the vinyl version too. It's between 64 and 74 bucks. Mark.

Lon, I'm to the last track where Monk is trying to get Art Taylor to play the drums the way he wants. It's a trip...calls him a Dumb Mother F--ker at one point...haha

PS...I had to listen to track 7 on CD #2 again...I love listening to Monk. And the photos in the book are great. Monk wore some crazy hats but this one is hilarious.

PSS...this is definitely up first tomorrow morning.

That booklet is the main reason I sprung for the LP set when I saw it at "list" price--those photos are great in the LP booklet size!

I may wait for the one LP version in October. I'll have to think about it. I'm not big on looking at and reading booklets usually...so that's not important to me.

The other CD that arrived today was this Keith Jarrett Trio Live recording...not sure why I didn't have it yet.

Also Lon, do you have the Jarrett CD "Sleeper"? If so, is it good...I like this group and there are so few recordings of them.

In the Cave...starting with this...I believe it was the first Analogue Productions release pressed in their QRP facility...

PS... I put two of the four Hammond labeled 1962 Amperex 12AX7's I recently bought into the ZP3. I had some intermittent noise on the Left Channel and now there is none...confirming it was one of the recently purchased 1961 Amperex 12AX7's I took out...bummer. Oh...this recording is amazing!
