Luis, the playing is very good but the sound quality is not so great. I'm streaming it via Amazon Unlimited Music. I own several of this Unreleased series and some have far better sound quality....for example Vol. 6 that's a 4 CD set of all the June 1980 concerts from Ronnie Scott's that yielded two LPs on the Mole Label. I have others but the volume numbers escape me. In this era Art was very consistent. So seek out well recorded CDs and LPs. All on the Galaxy label are great examples of his late career work. Several are live albums. Goes without saying, I have them all. Mark.

PS...from a review on CD Baby...."Considering that the record was culled from a cassette recording from an unknown audience member, the sound quality is quite good. Everyone in the band is heard, although at times I would have liked to have heard Cables a little better. The polite crowd didn’t create any noise that interfered with the performance, and Pepper’s saxophone is clearly heard projecting into thr audience. Under the circumstances and benefiting from Wayne Peet’s mastering job, this is not bad at all."

An excellent trio session (plus extra material). Legge was with Dizzy for a while, did a session or two with Mingus. . . he deserved a longer career and wider recognition.

Listening to a jazz station I've never heard before on my new Magnum Dynalab MD-90T SE tuner. Bought a used model from the manufacturer, ordered it on Monday and got it this afternoon. . . from Canada! I popped the top and took out the Electro Harmonix 6922 that was supplied and popped in a pair of Sylvania 308 and hooked their cheaper antenna up and in came this station and I've never heard radio playback like this. Sweet!

More jazz, this time on an "adult standards" radio, a format I had to look up. For senior citizens. Well, I'm almost there. I love jazz and they're playing Lionel Hampton, Jo Stafford, and even some Count Basie.

This tuner sounds better than any radio or tuner or receiver I've ever heard. Nice! I've avoided radio for years because I got so tired in the work world of being subjected to it, especially all the talk and commercials. But just as I've gone back to headphone listening, with a refreshed enjoyment, I predict that I'll find a lot of enjoyment on the dial. I may need to get the very best antenna Magnum Dynalab make though, as my favorite station, KCLV the listener supported classical station that my Dad got me started on and that I listen to in the car when I'm on the other side of Cleveland, just barely comes in with the antenna in a spot that Lucy will not approve of. . . .
