This CD sounds so wonderful. It's time to stop tinkering and leave things alone. I have come to the conclusion that tube rolling at the inputs is over for me...nothing has beaten the Amperex's...mainly the 7308's but the 6299s are great too and I've got a bunch of both. I do have to test new purchases from my Hoarding addiction so that will continue. I have a pair of newly acquired White label Amperex 6299's that need some Amp time but not this weekend.

OK, switched to Vinyl in the second system after changing out the 12AX7 spots to a Sylvania Black Plate Triple Mica 5751 and another identical except it's a gray plate. These were purchased in a lot of 10...3 of the gold pins, only 1 of the black plates and the rest are the gray plate with steel pins. Two of them are not triple mica. Except for two of the Gold pins, I hadn't tested any of them...so about time.
