This gal was recommended to me by a fellow fan of Brazilian music and I have to say I like this. Quite a rich voice! Nice guitars and mandolins. Very 'nineties in production values, and surprisingly folksy.

Sound is fantastic, the Paris concert sounds much improved from the European earlier releases.

Lon, I'm still waiting for my Miles Davis bootleg set to arrive from Germany. That Monk London CD is pretty good huh. I recently pulled out the earlier three CD "Complete London Collection" and listened to the first CD I think. Solo Monk in 1971...very good.

Thursday a pair of Mullard, Blackburn Manufactured R71 version GZ-32s testing about 95% arrived from a New Zealand seller. This morning I'm trying them out in the monoblocks (SE84ZSM)...sounding very sweet indeed. Previously I'd been using 50's RCA 5V4Gs. This CD first...

PS... I forgot to say what the bargain hunter paid.... $40 each plus $10 shipping.

PSS...also with my Magnifying glass and flashlight, I determined one is from 1958 the other 1962.

Yes, I have always liked that Monk material, and this new set sounds awesome.

You'll probably get your Bootleg Series Vol. 6 really soon, others have started to get theirs fro Europe. I have all this material elsewhere, but the Wilder remastering here improves the sound.

Glad you are digging those rectifiers. I've fallen for the sound of the Type 80 rectifiers, and have been enjoying a few types and brands. I have a pair of "coke bottle-shaped" RCAs from the 'fifties I'll be putting into my 25th Anniversary SE84UFO3 Monoblocks when they arrive next week (they're shipping!)
