Hey welcome. I listen to a lot of music created this century actually. We're all different, we all have different tastes and needs met by music.
In the eighties and nineties I was very into the "roots of rock and roll" along with jazz and I learned a lot, and learned to love artists like Louis Jordan, Amos Milburn, Charles Brown, T-Bone Walker, and many more. . . . I don't tend to listen to that music much these days but I know it well, even played some of it with like minds in a band I was in.
The young people are going to drive innovations in music and I bet the young people will be the ones that enjoy that the most I think. That said in jazz there are some innovators like Yaz Ahmed and The Sons of Sekhmet and more to explore. . . . I don't always enjoy their work, but I can recognize that they are moving things ahead and enjoy THAT.
That said, I love older music. Right now,
