I put another Sophia Electric Aqua 274B that I got in the mail today in the Taboo Mk IV and am listening on headphones. I really like these rectifiers. This one is destined for the CSP3-25 that I will receive on Monday. I bet it sounds great there!

Right now I have my ZMA out and Rachel in. With the ZROCK2 engaged, I experienced much of the same early onset distortion on bass heavy tracks on the Rachel. Once I bypassed the ZROCK2, things settled down rather nicely.

I'll try it next time. It sounds good at that lower volume, I just was surprised that I had to turn it down so much, I never had to before with the Taboo or Torii. It says a lot to someone of a "certain age." And it sounds like Texas to me. .. there's a bit of nostalgia involved.

Excellent sounding organ! Love the leather keys too.

After I watched it I got to see the extreme other end of the organ spectrum in a video that came up. It was a 117 Rank Ruffatti Organ and let me tell ya, that woman played it so perfectly my head is still spinning! Diane Bish ... it was so inspiring it makes me want to drive to florida with my tape machine and record that live. only high bias tape would have a chance in hell of capturing the real dynamic range of that organ and then trying to reproduce it on the stereo could easily entertain me for the rest of my natural life!

That's very cool. Though I myself prefer the intimate sound of smaller organs. This one was indeed a dynamic force!

I haven't posted here in a while...I have been listening though. I bought a Rachel with bees wax caps and UFO Transformers from a fellow Decware member and put it into service this morning in the second system removing the monoblocks for the time being. This is the first Amp with the UFO treatment I've had.

I put in early 60's Amperex 7308s, a RCA 5U4G-ST and the stock Russian made, Tung-Sol EL-34s that came with the Amp. I'm on my 4th CD and things are sounding great. I have plans to try several kinds of NOS Power Tubes but for now just burning in Racheal and enjoying the Music.
