I got thinking about the "What's spinning" question. I don't have anything spinning other than the earth around it's axis.
My computer has SSD's, no moving parts. I suppose that the generator that is producing the electricity for me to use is spinning. But there aren't any spinning discs around here any more. Kind of a depressing thought, now all of my music is zeros and ones, nothing physical,one misplaced zap and it is all gone like dust in the wind.

Listening to this great SACD in my second system via my DEC685. I got weak this morning and ordered the Denon DCD-A100 100th Anniversary SACD player at a clearance price. I have been reading about this player and really have been impressed and decided to give it a shot. I think with its impressive DACs and build quality it should be a great source for the second system. . . and may end up in the main system one day when I can afford a new rack and one of the great PerfectWave power cords I so enjoy. Looking forward to the new unit. . . and see how it stacks up to the memory of my Sony SCD XA5400ES and my DEC685.

HOLY COW! I got the Denon DCD-A100 100th Anniversary SACD player in yesterday morning and this morning I put it in the main system (was going to not do that til it was 'broken in' but decided what the heck). I put my SACD of Bitches Brew in spinning and went off for an Easter visit. Came back and oh my gosh it sounds great! This player has surprised me. Not quite as open and dynamic as my PerfectWave Transport and DAC, but maybe at this moment a bit warmer and more LP like. Just really great sound. Listened to the DVR through it too, and quite nice. Tonight I'll watch a Blu-ray and listen to the sound through it. Very happy about this machine! Now I have something really nice to be the nerve-center of the main system when I send my PS Audio DAC in for an input repair and installation of the new digital input board (not sure when, but maybe soon).

Right now, really enjoying

Right now This one just keeps on impressing me. I had very low expectations of it when I first received it but the music and lyrics and these modern interpretations just have gotten deep under my skin over the last few years.
