I listened to it on Spotify and needless to say, I love it but are these new masterings? I have the 2 CD lost album set and I'm sure I have the rest on other discs. It is nice to have it all in one place though. Are any of these tracks previously unreleased?

There's no new material here Mark. I do believe that the mastering of the material with Roy Haynes and the Birdland material is newer, Reeves remastering work in 24/96 that appeared in Japan in their reissues, though the Birdland remastering may have appeared in the appropriate "Impulse Albums" box set.

Anyway, it all sounds very good here in consistent mastering, and I like having all the official output of the year in one place. And I really hope they do the same for '64 and then '65 and '66. . . but I'm not sure there are any plans to do so.

I'll likely pick up the CD version sometime, the Vinyl is to pricey for me, especially since I haven't spun any for over 6 months ...it's on my Amazon Wish List already

I'm very familiar with all the non-"Lost Album" material from decades of listening and I am still enjoying pulling this set out and listening to a disc. Nicely put together.

After watching "A Christmas Story" about one and a half times, I fired up the Tubes and have been listening to the 2018 and 2015 Christmas Programs from the JLCO with Wynton Marsalis. I saw the same personnel and sets on December 5th at the Meyerson Hall... Both Concerts are posted here for your enjoyment...Merry Christmas...

Though this is a pic of the LP, I'm listening to the new SACD from Mobile Fidelity Lab of Miles Davis "Miles Smiles." Sounds very very good. I was hoping for the original mix but apparently the tape isn't in great shape and this is the Mark Wilder remix.

I hope that MFSL keeps releasing Miles Davis titles though the only one planned so far not released is "Porgy 'n Bess." Looking forward to that.

Miles Davis "Miles Davis at Fillmore" Sony 20 bit SBM LP facsimile version, disc 1

I used to obsess over this album in the early 'seventies and stared at this album cover over and over. Here's a photo of Miles with the beautiful gal on the cover, Marguerite Eskridge.

I'm trying a new set of voltage regulation tubes for my amps' output tubes, Chatham OD3W. At the moment a bit aggressive but I think they'll calm down some in the next few hours of use.

These OD3W are starting to sound really nice.

John Coltrane "Ballads" Impulse Platinum SHM-CD from Japan.

I wanted to see how this sounds on the system as it is today. Answer: damned good.

This has the reputation of being about the best digital version there is, being a straight transfer to DSD from a master tape. I haven't heard them all but have heard a lot and this may be the best I've heard.
