Some neat tunes I've never heard before including some silly songs for Joya Sherrill that are a lot of fun, and some well-recorded Sonny Greer. A few places there are some slight noise issues, a hum on some material that may be on the disc, but also might have been introduced in the mastering process, and the announcements sometimes show a lot of wear. But overall quite listenable at dancing levels.

Using this excellent SACD (I know this music very well from first the Sunnyside CD and now the Venus SACD) to help me determine whether I should run the Denon DCD-A100 (my digital source while my PS Audio PerfectWave DAC is out for the upgrade to Mk II) straight into the Torii or through the CSP2.

After a few switches and a few times through the disc, the CSP2 is in the signal path. It just adds a bit more "realism" to the sound, pushes the soundstage back a bit and gives an ease to the sound.

Jamal changed his style over the years, removing a lot of the "space" in his interpretations that I so love. But still a legend!
