LR, just be thankful you don't have the disease Lon and I have. I don't even know what I have or where it is. I think when I moved to Dallas from Omaha in 1990 the movers must have left some boxes of LPs behind, I can't find albums I know I have plus I numbered the boxes and there are far too few. Somewhere along the line some went missing. Oh well, I'm still having a ball playing the ones I can find. It had been too long since a Jarrett LP, so I played this. Mark.

Does anybody know that John dropped an F Bomb during the recording of Hey Jude and they left it in? I imagine back then it was a fairly big deal considering the airplay it was getting. It's at 2:57 into the song and Paul says "let her under your skin" and John says "let her into your skin" and John realized he messed up the lyric and says "Oh ... blanking Hell".

Warning ~ once you hear it you'll never not hear it again Grin

LP #1 of the Mosaic "Stan Kenton: The Holman And Russo Charts". I think I bought this Box Set used in Lewisville, TX. This is where (UNT) University of North Texas' Jazz program is. I hadn't listened to this before and when I opened the Booklet to see the track listing, I found an inscription from Bill Russo dated 8/9/2000. This was a little less than three years before his death at age 74. He had given this set to his cousin Donald Pranke (SP?) as a gift. Oh, by the way, the Music is fantastic. Mark.

See if this works. ( I have found it near impossible lately to transfer images over. Now I use the split screen function on the maxthon browser to do it. Seems that it`s easier to slip it over without going across separate pages )
Anyway, it`s Zappas " You cant do that on stage anymore " the sampler. 2 x vinyl. I`ve played disc 1. All live and very Zappa. On the `torture never stops` he says " And here come the torture" You do start to wonder when the guitar solo will finish. :)

Since my Oppo allows me to stream You Tube videos through my Decware gear, I've input Porcupine Tree in the search and I'm just letting it play till I get bored and move on to something else. The fidelity isn't there, but it lets me have some uninterrupted background music while I finish some work...just got off a 23 hour shift and now finishing up some paperwork, and I'm on "vacation" for 10 days. I wish I had the Mystery Amp to keep me company during this time off; soon I hope!

This LP now. I'm not a big Woody Herman fan but when I found this in good shape at Half Price Books and Records for 4 bucks yesterday on the way home from work....I said why not? The low end is sort of thumpy and diffuse but then again it's from 1954...Woody's "Third Herd". The horns and piano were recorded well though. It appears this is an original pressing from Capitol Records. Mark.
