Two more of Music Matters' wonderful Blue Note 180 gm 33rpm reissue series just came out...#10 and 9 below...I added #8 to get to over $99 for free shipping at elusive disc. In November the last two of the Dozen will be released which I'll buy with the Joe Henderson LP. Then I'll have all 12...they are fantastic. Read the reviews. I'm also still waiting on Blue Train and Idle Moments (awaiting repress) but I have listened to #3 through #6 and they are worth every penny of the 34.99 all vendors are charging with no discounts. This past weekend I'd ordered "Blue Train" below and the Impex reissue of "Monk's Dream"...so that's five new LPs on their way. Mark.

Some of the music I don't quite enjoy as fully as others, but the arrangements and how they are recorded. . .just love them. Deodata at his best.

Yup Lon, I especially like listening to the transition to Miles' second great quintet. Starting with the April 1963 sessions where only Ron Carter was in place...progressing through 4 Concerts until finally the last piece of the puzzle is in place when Wayne Shorter joins the group in September 1964 in Berlin on the last CD. Hard to believe this set sat in my house unplayed for a decade, before I found it this year. Mark.

I`ve used the dust buster and it does add a level of clarity. Goodbye carbon brush. Thats a double pic front/back. Cant find the silvertone cover. Chessmasters not rockpile.

I'm in the Listening Cave and this LP...vol.2 not 1...was still on the TT from my last session on 9/6...5 days? Way too long. Anyway, I swapped in a pair of Raytheon 12AX7's, replacing the Sylvania triple Mica black plate 5751's in the ZP3 and spun this Tony Bennett LP again...very nice. Mark.

PS...Lon which Jarrett track are you talking about and which Chopin piece...Id' like to compare. I thought that Jarrett was improvising on those concerts...maybe some Chopin was in his subconscious.

It's nice but I've never been a big fan of his singing. Thankfully there's more playing than singing. Mark.

Back in the cave. This LP next. I had a few of the Cat Stevens lps when they were first issued...who knows where they are! But the several used LPs from HPB&R have been great. Still looking for clean copies of Buddha and Catch Bull. Mark.

PS...of the 6 albums Cat put out between July of 1970 to "Buddha and the Chocolate Factory" in 1974...the only ones I want. I like "Foreigner" the least. Still lots of beautiful moments but the album as a whole doesn't work as well as the others.
