Since Lon mentioned this, I decided to listen to LP #1 of 3. Love Jarrett's solo work of the 70's to early 80's. I haven't followed his more recent solo work...I'm more into his Standards Trio stuff now.

This was the first solo concert released in 1973 although his first LP for ECM was a solo album called "Facing You" released in 1972. Mark.

PS...I just noticed I'll have to listen to side one of LP #2 to get all of the Bremen concert. The other three sides are from the Lausanne concert and I'll wait until later for that.

After side two of the Pepper LP, I'm going to put on my record store day mono copy of "Kind Of Blue", #3020. Since the boys are "Geeking Out" over at the "Soundstage Depth & Visual Sense" thread, I decided to participate. I tend to just sit back, many times with eyes closed, and listen...not trying to pay much if any attention to all the minutiae. It works for me but I'll see what I hear. With a mono Copy, my experience will likely be different. But hey, It's a great excuse to listen to a favorite album again. Mark.

I'm playing CDs in the Den as I read Kurt Vonnegut's book "Player Piano"...I haven't read his stuff in decades but found several of his books while cleaning out my garage. I've decided to alternate playing CDs from the Riverside Box and the 1980 Vanguard Box...from which I've already played CD #1, Now CD #1 of the Riverside box...24 years earlier in 1956. Mark.

Marky, I have all those on CD or Vinyl or both. I haven't listened to "Symbiosis" or "From Left to Right" since I bought them...I don't think I liked them much. The others are great...especially "Spring Leaves" that is the two studio albums recorded with Scott LaFaro in the Trio. There's another Milestone twofer that has the two Live Village Vanguard albums with LaFaro...it's a nice cheap way to get those on vinyl.

I'm very careful about postage...if the seller hasn't stated his combined postage policy, I ask before bidding or buying. And like I said, outside the US gets to be too much. Mark.

Yes, and thanks again for bringing Bill into my listening room. I`ve played ` Waltz for Debby` so many times I`m hearing the audience seated at tables having a little laugh (at first I thought it was neighbours out in the garden)....and the waiter does something with a lot of glass...it might be out through the waiters entrance. Thats his fav bass player, a virtouso in his own right, who steals or takes the spotlight half the time. Not often you hear bass playing like that I think. Unfortunately he died a month later.
Theres times when Evans plays a trickle and he just hits a harmonic note with the bass that really gets me.
US record dealers....there are a few I`ve used for new albums with v/g postal rates.

Guys, for not being a big jazz fan (I like a lot of it, but generally not my go to music) I'm really digging this (I have the hi-res version from HD Tracks). Cecile McLorin Salvant "Womanchild" check out the title track of the same name and IMO an excellent showcase for Decware amps for sure.
