I haven't listed in a little while, so I will for the next 2 1/2 hours. I finished the first LP and have started the second and will listened to the other two next. The LPs are from a recent ebay purchase from one seller. Mark.

This is a 1983 release on the Sunnyside Records Label.

This is a 1962 US reissue of a 1955 LP.

This is a 1976 Japanese reissue of this LP originally released in 1956.

This is a reissue of the original 1963 LP, probably from the 70's...discogs had the date listed as unknown.

Next is some Live Art Pepper. I bought all three volumes released by Omnivore Records. I see this LP, Vol. Two, as well as Vol. Three has recordings from several different Japanese Concerts in November 1981. Vol. one is the only one I've listened to completely and it had disappointing sound quality...especially the drums and bass. It was recorded at Parnell's in Seattle, Washington Jan. 1981. Mark.

PS...So far, Vol. Two has far better, not perfect, sound quality...recommended. The line up of the Quartet is George Cables (Piano), David Williams (Bass) and Carl Burnett (Drums) on both Vol. Two and Three. Now on side two, Vol. Two...WOW...really cooking on an 18+ minute version of Mambo Koyama!

PSS...these come in cool neon colored vinyl. Once you go oooh and ahh, put the records in protective sleeves...they don't come with any so the holes in the jacket expose the vinyl's color. I bought some MFSL inner sleeves that I like but there are cheaper ones available. I might add that only Art Pepper fanatics like me should be buying these.

It's from an ebay auction won for $52.55...it retails new for $90 plus 8$ S&H. I also have the LP only sets from Mosaic Records for Monk at the It Club and Clifford Brown, Max Roach Emarcy albums...they sound great. Mark.

Still plenty to buy! I'm listening to so many cds since I got the DirectStream DAC that my turntable gave me the finger Friday night.

It's one of my new albums I use for demoing changes to my system. Especially Track A and B.

Then this (HD Tracks 96/24):

Another demo track I like to use is the eponymous Womanchild.

No changes today though, just enjoying the music... I highly recommend these hi-res titles for showcasing what Decware can do though!
