Last year there were a lot of comments after the festival about the different products, what people liked, etc. I have only seen a few comments so far. I am also interested in what folks have to say about Bob's new speakers.

I need some Bill Evans... I've made it up to CD #9 of the 12 CD Riverside Recordings Box. This CD has recordings from two sessions in the summer of 1962 with a quintet including a horn and guitar...trumpet in one session and sax in the other. The album that resulted from these recordings is "Interplay". Mark.
PS... I misspoke...there were two sessions in July 1962 with Freddie Hubbard that resulted in the below album. The two sessions in August with Zoot Sims weren't issued until much later...maybe with the box set...not sure.

Lon, the `Bitches Brew` album is on it`s way to me ( ordered Thur). I`ve went overboard and bought the MOFI press ! ( Oh yours is the MOFI as well, on cd. They`ll be calling us the Dolly Sisters next :) ) You haven`t as yet posted the Agharta album and wondered what you have to say about it. I`m so near to finding the right copy. The Japanese have one out, a little pricey but it`s got my name on it. Just awseome that Miles puts one track on each side of these latter works.

Agharta is a great release. Part of a concert which also had another 2 LP release, Pangaea. It is a live recording, funkier than Bitches Brew, also more rock-oriented to my ears, with two guitars upfront.

I have the original US release on lp, and various cd versions. I would avoid the US cd from the early nineties, does not sound good.

A bit reticent on the upper midrange, at least at this early stage, which is not always a bad thing on digital material. Nice soundstage depth.

I didn't get any listening in yesterday but did go see the movie "Gone Girl"...great flick. I did put in an order at Elusive Disc to take advantage of their 12% discount this weekend. I was tempted to put in a much larger order but decided to save some purchases for later. I did get two new Analogue Productions 200 gm Coltrane reissues two MFSL vinyl reissues and Mosaic's Coltrane and Monk at Carnegie Hall LP. Mark.
