Black Uhuru "Fit you haffe fit". Featuring Junior Reid on lead vocals, who came in after Michael Rose left in 1984. Grittier, far less pleasant to the ears, he still has his moments, especially when Sly & Robbie pump out a devastating riddim on steroids.

I'm sampling some "audiophile" discs. This one has chinese all over it - and every track is just saturated in reverb. I guess that's what makes it "audiophile". LOL

What happened Syd?  Did you chicken out...can't part with your twins...hehe.  I was thinking maybe you should do them one at a time, so you could keep one in the system while the other is getting her makeover.

Time for some sweet Laura...

I think I`ve got a habit Mark.....the comedown started and I gave in.
Just realised I`ve been playing toooo loudly. Turned down a few notches and this sounds great.

The way I looked at it before was that the beeswax caps are in the ZP3 and CSP2+ so the signal should pass right through if the Rachaels caps are neutral. And it did. It`s a lot to post off so I might buy the caps and put them in. Just thoughts.

Syd, either way you'll get amazing music.  All in with postage and upgrade cost, you might be better off just buying a used Torii MK IV or MK III when you see one.  There have been some crazy bargains lately. Only thing is most are US versions.  I'm not sure what it'd take to convert it.  Then you'd have a back up.

It's time for some Miles.  This is the recent  RTI pressed Mono reissue from Sony/Legacy.

Syd, I didn't think it was possible to play the Dead too loud!?!?!?

You should try to DIY the caps and if you mess up you can always send it in for Steve to fix.  Seems like not much of a risk other than the embarrassment.   Cheesy

Next CD...Chet Baker Live from 1979...

PS...So I've got about 14 hours on these Russian Power tubes now and they are quickly getting better.  And as some have noted, the Bass does seem to be filling in some although it was never bad.  Off to Bed now.

Next up is a Blue Note release from 1959 reissued on 45 RPM vinyl by Music Matters.  I hadn't opened this one yet.  When I saw Charlie Rouse plays on it,  I had to spin it.  Mark.

Hey Lon,  if you had to pick two Duke Ellington with his Orchestra albums, what would they be?  (Not Jazz Party or Blues In Orbit and not any in the Columbia CD box set we both have)...

This Mosaic Vinyl...

PS...I just went and tried to change my "Skin" and I don't think it's an option anymore.  Also how do I get the PM button to show up on the bottom of my posts?  Or maybe it shows to readers and just not me?  Anyone,  when you read my posts is there a PM button on the bottom?

There is a PM button at the bottom of your post Mark.

This a good album for checking out new tube performance. It`s sounding very very good. Really crisp and punchy, loads of detail.
Soundstage, what you would expect.

Yes, it appears that we're now stuck with the new template, I had the old blue and white at my fiancee's and just arrived back home and logged in and it's the new one. Haven't found a way to change it yet.  I'll adapt.

To be honest Mark, I'd go BACKWARDS in time to pre-lp Duke Ellington, that's my favorite though I do love it all. I'd recommend the Smithsonian LPs of Duke's Columbia label material from '38 to '41, that's the SHIT. More modern LP age material I'd recommend "Afro Bossa" on Reprise and "The Latin American Suite" on Fantasy as two big favorites.

I hope the bass on the russian 6p3s-E`s doesn`t get any more pronounced   Smiley They must be nearing 90-100% burn in (70hrs ? ). I cant think where they`re lacking. I still get the feeling theres a tad more surprises to come.
ETA on the spring vibration units is 10th Apr. I ordered 2 more sets the day after the first two.
