Lon, I've got Chick's "Further Explorations" saved on spotify for later. Looks like a lot of the tunes Bill played as well as others I don't recognize...should be interesting.

Core, trying Bill Evans...very nice. I have several reissues of Janis' albums but must admit I don't spin them often...several haven't been opened...ditto for Hendrix. I need to be in the right mood for the harder stuff.

It should be no surprise that I prefer Bill Evans and Keith Jarrett when it comes to piano trio. I do have more than a dozen Corea albums though, including the Trios on ECM....Live and Studio....Lots on Vinyl from the 70's and 80's.

Unbelievable, haven't been in the Cave since last Friday night. This is the last of half a dozen ORG reissues I bought recently.

PS...I just realized that I have a CD of music recorded with both Paul Desmond and Chet Baker in my car. I think it's all from CTI albums they both played on..."Concierto De Aranjuez" is on it, probably others from this album...very nice...highly recommended.

I really love Willie Maiden, who was Ferguson's main tenor guy and a writer and arranger.

Lon, I like Maynard's pre 70's stuff. I have that Mosaic Box in Vinyl. I got it in Vinyl at the time because the CD sets had sold out. Like so much of my Music, it is packed up somewhere...I never played it. I've got some other MF on CD and vinyl.

More CDs played today...

I was thinking of Joni this AM so I went to her Facebook page and found out she had a brain aneurysm in March and is recovering at home.
