You are not going to believe this. The Miles Davis "Kind Of Blue" 45 RPM disc one replacement arrived two days after I called Music Direct via Fed Ex. I'm just now getting to listening to it. It came in a plain white jacket...put it on my TT and dropped the needle, appears to be perfect except... it is disc one of Dire Strait's "Brother in Arms" 45 RPM set...hehe. It does sound really good though. Mark.
Man, you'd think they could get that straight! I really like the KOB SACD from Mobile Fidelity, it matches the Ultra HD 32Bit CD from Sony in many ways. I just don't buy audiophile vinyl; vintage vinyl sounds excellent to me and is usually much cheaper, and I'm mainly using vinyl for recordings I don't have digitally, or for "pre-tape" material that often sounds better on vinyl than early or middle period cds.
I know that at least one (Aqualung) Wilson remix has come out on vinyl, but don't know about the Yes albums (different labels). I actually buy these sets as much for the Blu-rays or DVDs as the cds, as the hi-res material on these sounds excellent via my Denon universal player.
