Oh yes, I have the Hodes set on CD (and most of the same material on cds from Toshiba Japan, which sound a bit better). I love Hodes. Great player, and lots of great players on these Blue Note sides.

Right now, an Impulse 180 gram reissue I tried a few years ago. Doesn't really sound any better than the cds I have.

I'm starting the morning with some of John Zorn's "The Circle Maker". This is CD #2 called Zevulun which features the Bar Kokhba Sextet: the Masada String Trio plus drummer Joey Baron, percussionist Cyro Baptista, and guitarist Marc Ribot. Very nice...this one pops with the new 7308s.

PS...Wow, only three members online right now...must be shopping...maybe sleeping?

I honestly think Blakey presented a problem for RVG in recording, he is often distorted, probably because he just decided to bang harder during recording than during level checks!

I do have the Phillips box, and the RCA material, and I don't know of any real good box for the Colpix years (my favorite period). I have those on a number of separate cds.

I'm lukewarm on Nina, I love some of her stuff, some of her stuff I just don't want to listen to. Earliest is best for me with Nina, generally.

Just got a wireless router installed by hook or crook (I'm not good with this stuff) so I now have my laptop in use for the first time since July! Yeah! Now maybe I'll install that subplatter in the Rega later toda or tomorrow.

Lon, I agree the Coplix years are my favorite. Somewhere I've got a 2 or 3 CD compilation of the Coplix recordings...hope I can find it. I have CDs spanning her career but had no LPs until getting back into Vinyl the last couple years. I found the four below with a quick look during a commercial. I think I'll spend some time today listening to Nina on Spotify to decide if I want that RCA box. I will buy more original Coplix LPs on ebay. It's very odd that the Coplix LPs haven't been put out in a box...who owns the rights, I wonder. Mark.

Was EMI before the recent sale of EMI and most went to UNI. One day they may get around to reissuing the Colpix in a box. The two on your list are good records. And so is the Bethlehem. . .her first and maybe her best date.
