Wow. I decided to pull the trigger on a collection of all three volumes of Commodore Records on Mosaic Records from ebay, 66 LPs in all, and it turns out the guy lives ten minutes away and brought them over an hour after the sale. He's not a jazz guy or a music guy really but bought a lot of records from a widow of an audiophile and collector. They're basically unplayed and the price was the lowest I've ever seen, cheaper than the original total price from Mosaic by about 25%. Playing the first disc of the first volume right now. I've just spent my mad money for months but I'm happy. I couldn't pass this up.

No work...Market closed...So I am going to take a nice long session of Vinyl Therapy. First up is the second side of the Joni LP from last night.

I put in the last Zu Audio Mission power cord...this one between the Omega Deep Hemp Sub and the Running Springs Audio "Jaco" Power conditioner. Now I have these same Power Cords everywhere except for a Decware Silver Reference on the ZP3 and a garden hose... RSA Mongoose on the Power Conditioner to the wall.

Also on the ZP3, I switched out the front position RCA black plate triple mica 5751 for a Mullard 12AX7...leaving one of the RCAs in the second position...still running with the RCA Triple Mica Black plate 5814 in the third position (12AU7).

Next...I think this is a mono original...well after 1 and a half songs...this is not going to be a favorite. I like her Blues and Jazz recordings...this is? Pop with strings and background vocals...and her voice is annoyingly sibilant on this LP...I'll stick it out for one side...

Unfortunately I bought it almost 3 years ago otherwise I'd return it!

This Music Matters 33 RPM reissue next...

Lon, reading the copy on the Decware DHC 1 and the Zu Mission cords, there seems to be two big differences. First the Mission is all copper the Decware is silver plated copper. Second the Mission is shielded the Decware is not. I'm sure there are many other differences but those were the most obvious to this non-techie. They should sound different. I'll do the switch tomorrow. Mark.
