Room has an echo
04/22/19 at 23:03:35

My theater room where I have my 2 channel setup (and 7.1) has an echo and I feel that is making the sound quality sub-par. I have read putting treatment right behind the speakers should help with that. Are there any other tips or techniques I can do to correct the echo?

There are a lot of articles online about how to deal with this.

Just one example:  http://arqen.com/acoustics-101/room-setup-acoustic-treatment/

Room treatment can make quite a difference.

I saw these and it looked like an inexpensive way to try out sound dampening.  24X48 for $12

It's not quite the deal when you add shipping and I don't understand why shipping  2 panels is $40 but 3 are $150???

I was thinking if they worked a little DIY and cover them with fabric.

Hello, NEXTLEVEL5.
I was wondering if you have identified from where in your room the echo is coming. I suppose any hard flat surface would echo.  A box like structure along the juncture of side wall and ceiling sometimes seems to help.

If you have not received the help you need, you might try adding a photograph of the room. That might show someone a problem area.

Best wishes, Brian
