It is designed to improve your USB-based source by converting the potentially inferior USB output of your music source to AES, Toslink or SPDIF. This little box is high in the “bang for the buck” category. The reason I am reluctant to sell it is because it is so versatile in that I can connect it to any USB music source and gain a significant improvement in SQ. It retails for $450 which is incredibly reasonable for something that performs. But… Rather than have it sit and collect dust, I will sell it and use the cash to fund other projects. I have a rather high-end music server in my main listening room and that is where the vast majority of my listening occurs.
