TEAC 503 NT-503 DAC's Available on Drop
09/27/19 at 14:47:46
FYI, the highly acclaimed TEAC NT-503 DAC is available on the website Drop (formerly Mass Drop) for $650. Couple this with a Decware ZBIT and you've got a heck of a good DAC.
Maybe Steve will even consider modifying it into his ZDA2 if you ask nicely.

Hey Rodger....great minds think alike!! I had gotten the email earlier this morning. I just threw out the same post notifying everyone....without knowing you already posted the same thing. I’ll delete my post to avoid double entries.
Here is the link for the drop....

Dom,
A good deal for sure. I love my Decware modified NT-503.

I am now torn between biting on this DAC at a great price, or the new Schiit Multibit Bifrost 2. Schiit just redesigned the whole architecture of the DAC which now includes balanced outs as standard, and an upgraded and redesigned Unison USB with a higher S/N ratio from 104 dB to now 114 dB.
I think the lack of it not being network streamer, no dual monaural design, and no Bluetooth are the potential deal breakers.

Interesting. I like the Schit sound, but lack of balanced out and no remote killed it for me. Looks like the new bifrost has both.
