Type 80 Globe vs. ST bottle

Has anyone noted any foundational differences between the globe variety compared to the ST version?

I've noticed some differences. In general I would say that when I can compare the same manufacturer (RCA) that the globe give the illusion of a bit more power and a more "open" sound and the ST has a warmer, more compact sound, closer to the old school tube amp sound. Ultimately I don't use any of the Type 80 that I have in current tube complements.
