Hi TubeGuy,
The Fast-10 drivers definitely have a better .QTS parameter for open baffle than the Silver-10.
However, I have several customers who have purchased baffles for the Silver-10s and are very happy with the sound.
Since the drivers roll off pretty quickly below 100 HZ or so, a powered subwoofer or "bass baffle" is needed to create a true full range system.
In addition, the Decware ZROCK2 works very well to improve the tonal balance of these drivers.
The Fast-10 drivers cost a lot less and are great "bang for the buck".
Best wishes, Randy
