FS: Decware SE84UFO Amplifier

The amp is the base model with no upgrades, in like new condition.

I purchased this from the original owner on US Audiomart last year and had it sent into Decware to fix a grounding issue. It has a clean bill of health and works perfectly. It was manufactured in Feb 2023.

I’ve upgraded to the 25th anniversary version of the same amp, which is the only reason I would ever consider selling this.

Included are the stock power cord and the following tubes:
  • Decware branded 5u4G (approx 40 hours, not pictured)
  • 1 matched pair NOS 6P15P (approx 500 hours)
  • Stock 6922 (approx 500 hours)

*Type 80 Globe Rectifier in the images is not included (though I highly recommend finding one!)

Will be packaged in the boxes Decware uses, identically to how they ship these amps – double boxed with lots of bubble wrap.

Asking $1250 (what I paid for it + tubes)

Buyer to pay shipping from Southern California. PayPal preferred.

Love the look of this amp. I have a ufo2.1, so not in the market for it, sadly. But was just curious what you like about the Globe Rectifier's sound? And am I correct that it would also be a good match for the 2.1?

Cheers and GLWS.

Sale Pending.

@milkplus, in my system, the globe rectifier added increased soundstage and separation of instruments, compared to a several different rectifiers I tried. It also looks extremely cool and I loved bragging to friends that I had a rectifier from 1929.  ;D

Nice. Thanks for the info! I'm definitely curious to try one in my system... Did you just purchase from ebay? I see there are a couple available atm, but I'm always a little nervous buying tubes from there because I live in Europe and shipping + import fees are high for something that it's difficult to check the quality of it remotely.

For instance, would this be a good buy: https://www.ebay.com/itm/204842913586?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&s...

(And sorry to hijack your thread! Glad to see that the amp is already pending sale)
