Z-KIT build issues with photos

Finished building zkit using 5U4 rectifier  325AC/430DC and getting 415 vac at the 1k resistor and zero voltage at the 150 ohm resistor. I have tested all the capacitors and resistors , not sure what to look for next.

Welcome Dixie. That’s a nice looking build! Without sounding obvious, check all your solder connections and jumpers closely. If you post a close-up photo of the top and bottom of the board I can take a look further.

Your jumpers look pretty close to the board. Double check that they aren’t shorting to whatever they are jumping.

Not related to your problem but just a tip for good measure- take some rubbing alcohol and a cotton swab and wipe the board off good, top and bottom. All that solder fray will eat through your board and components over time.

Which power transformer do you have, considering you are not having ZKIT SS rectification?
Nice build by the way Smiley

What are the specs on the secondary taps on that one?
Asking because of thinking that my next build will be with tube rectification. But was thinking of the voltage drop compared to SS, and if I need to step up from the Hammond 300-300V a I have now.

Not sure that I understand the question, isn’t the secondary tap the green 6v for the heaters. For the 5U4 I wired the red wires to 4&6 325/325AC the yellow wires to 2/8 430/430vdc and yellow black to the 1K 5w resistor. I am getting 422 after the 1K and 351 after the 6.8k resistor

@ Svartemarten: Typically you would use the Hammond 272FX or the 372FX, which is the same except for the dual 120/220 volt input. The power comes from the yellow/black center tap, which is around 300V loaded.

This is the transformer that was supplied in the kit back in 2008. 300-0-300 6.3 plus the yellow wires. I built the amp on a board before I fit it in the chassis and the 5u4 worked perfectly.
